A scale prevention system, also known as a scale inhibitor or water conditioner, is designed to prevent the build-up of scale (mineral deposits) in water systems. Scale can cause blockages, reduce the efficiency of appliances, and lead to increased energy costs.

This is our incredible DDL TAC scale prevention system, which is used to help protect Reverse Osmosis systems from excessive calcium.
Ideal in hard water areas.
With a low cost purchase price, with a three year lifespan, no salt requirements and little to no maintenance it has become very popular out in the field.
A 1/4 ” pipe is connected at the inlet (post WRAS approved double check none return valve ) and the outlet port leading to the reverse osmosis.
The performance of the reverse osmosis is greatly enhanced saving £’s because of reduced wear on the filters and membrane. The de-ionisers lifespan is increased a great deal.
These systems work by either:
Chemical treatment: Adding chemicals to the water that prevent scale-forming minerals from precipitating.
Electromagnetic treatment: Using magnetic fields to alter the behaviour of scale-forming minerals.
Template-assisted crystallization (TAC): Converting dissolved minerals into harmless, non-adherent crystals.
By preventing scale build-up, these systems help extend the lifespan of appliances like water heaters, boilers, and plumbing systems, and maintain their efficiency.
