Overview
DECONTAMINATION
The instruments are placed in baskets without requiring any rinsing. A prewash with a rotor at low temperatures eliminates residues and avoids the risk of proteins fixing to the instruments in the successive high temperature treatment.
WASHING
Tethys H10 Plus washing is characterised by the strength of ultrasound, allowing the removal of any adhering traces.
THERMAL DISINFECTION
Tethys H10 Plus is a professional device provided with aย
90 ยฐC thermal disinfectionย process according to EN ISO 15883-1/2. Thanks to the heating action, the elimination of microorganisms through a validated process is guaranteed.
HOT AIR DRYING
After the disinfection phase, the vapours and humidity present in the tank are eliminated thanks to aย
forced-draught drying phase that is purified with an integrated HEPA filter. At the end of the process, the instruments are ready for the subsequent packaging phase.
“Touch” Generation
A colour LCD โtouchโ screen and multi-language icon menu allows a clear and intuitive selection of commands, completely customisable based on professional needs.
The desired program only needs to be chosen, and the cycle will proceed in complete autonomy.
Everything under control
Tethys H10 Plus is equipped with an internal memory that is able to record all data from operating cycles, directly in pdf format.
Integrated decalcification system
Tethys H10 Plus is the only device of its category that offers an integrated decalcification system with ion exchange resins. The modelโs exceptional functionality prevents the accumulation of limestone and other impurities within the water circuit.
The decalcificatorsโ maintenance was designed to respond to the criteria of simplicity and practicality, through the addition of simple kitchen or dishwasher salt.
Thanks to the new HMD, Tethys H10 is now also a handpiece thermal disinfector
This latest accessory makes it possible to wash, thermally disinfect and dry up to 6 instruments (turbines or micromotor handpieces) simultaneously. The HMD is compatible with all Tethys H10, including those that have already been installed. All the user has to do is update the firmware to make the thermal disinfector more complete than ever.
In this section, readers will find answers to common queries regarding the operation, application, and maintenance of the Tethys H10 Washer Disinfector.
How does a thermal washer disinfector ensure sterilisation?
The thermal washer disinfector uses a combination of high-temperature water and ultrasound energy to achieve thermal disinfection, as stipulated by EN ISO 15883-1/2. This process ensures the removal of microorganisms and prepares instruments for sterilisation.
What are the proper loading techniques for effective disinfection in a thermal washer?
Proper loading entails arranging instruments to prevent overlap and ensuring that lumens are positioned to allow free flow of water and cleaning agents. This maximises contact with thermal disinfectant solutions and enhances the effectiveness of the disinfection cycle.
What types of instruments can be processed in a thermal washer disinfactor?
Thermal washer disinfectors like the Tethys H10 are designed to process a variety of dental instruments, including both solid and cannulated items. It is critical that the items are compatible with the specific temperature and cleaning protocols of the disinfector used.
How do thermal washer disinfectors differ from traditional autoclaves?
Thermal washer disinfectors are primarily used for the cleaning and disinfection of instruments, whereas autoclaves are used for the complete sterilisation of instruments using pressurised steam. Washer disinfectors like the Tethys H10 also incorporate ultrasonic cleaning and drying in a single process.
What maintenance procedures are recommended for thermal washer disinfectors?
Regular maintenance procedures include cleaning the filters, checking the spray arms, and verifying detergent levels. It’s also crucial to perform routine validations and ensure documentation of cycles for compliance and quality control purposes.
Are there specific accreditation standards for the operation of thermal washer disinfectors?
Yes, thermal washer disinfectors must comply with healthcare standards such as those set by EN ISO 15883-1/2 for washing and thermal disinfection. Adequate training for operating personnel and regular servicing are required to maintain accreditation and ensure patient safety.
